Have you left home without saying a word?
Is your family looking for you?
Have you left home without saying a word?
Have you been out of touch with your family for a long time?
Check if your family is looking for you. Run your last name through our Missing People Internet Database.
You must have your reasons for keeping your current whereabouts and situation a secret from your family. You are entitled to make your own choices and decisions. If you are an adult, you can at any time stop the search that has been going on for you (in keeping with the Polish law). But you might want to leave us a message saying that you are alive and have made a conscious decision to leave home. While it is your right to live your life the way you want to, it is your family’s right to know that you are alive and well.
Run your last name through the ITAKA Missing People Internet Database.
Did you find your name in the ITAKA Missing People Internet Database?
If you found your personal details and a photograph in our database, it means that your case has been reported to us by your family and the fact of your disappearance is being investigated by the police (in Poland or elsewhere).
Leave a message
If you do not want to or cannot contact your family, you can leave them a message through ITAKA. Call us or contact us otherwise giving your first and last name and saying what you want us to tell your family. Give us a detail that will help your family successfully identify you (e.g. the name of your first ever dog or the place where you used to spend your family holidays). On your specific request we can ask your family to write you a letter. Should you wish so, your message will not be passed on to anybody. See: 24h helpline.
Your name cannot be found in the ITAKA database?
Not every family who is looking for someone contacts ITAKA.
It may be that your relatives have not reported your disappearance to us or for some reason your case cannot be traced through our database. You might however be reported as missing to the police.
Please send us an e-mail. Describe your situation – together we can decide what to do next. Contact us at: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
