Welcome to ITAKA Press Centre
Journalists have long supported us in the search for the missing people both in Poland and abroad. It is thanks to them that we have managed to locate hundreds of missing people and identify several dozen others with unknown identity.
Journalists cooperating with ITAKA often save human lives. We are very grateful for their help. Mass media selflessly popularize our website www.zaginieni.pl and promote our 24h helpline. Because of that we are able to work fast, efficiently and effectively.
Prevention
Journalists also help us prevent further disappearances. They inform the public about why people go missing and how it could be prevented.

We will contact you as soon as possible.
We encourage you to cooperate with us on a regular basis by creating a press column in your newspaper or on your website. We would be particularly happy to publish our stories in those European countries where Polish immigration is especially numerous, such as Great Britain, Ireland, Spain, Italy and Greece.
Additional information
If you would like to receive from us the contact data of a missing person’s family, we need time to contact the family and obtain their consent first. Then we shall expect you to undertake that you will include the missing person’s photograph in your article and not just the family’s statement.
Please remember that ITAKA’s code of ethics does not allow us to publicly comment in any way on the case of any missing person. We can only publicize the missing person’s age, description, the date of disappearance and their photograph. Any additional information can be obtained from the missing person’s family on their own responsibility.
We are grateful to journalists who remember that we are a non-government organization which is able to conduct its search for the missing people thanks to the generosity of its donators and sponsors. If you would like to popularize the idea of supporting our organization, please contact us at: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
